Pedestrian seriously hurt in Deerfield Township

DEERFIELD TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating an accident that seriously injured a pedestrian in Deerfield Township.

Police say Paulino Susaia, 46, of Maineville was attempting to cross the intersection of U.S. 22 at Columbia Road at around 11:30 p.m. Monday night. At the same time, Travis Hack, 26, of Maineville, was driving his Toyota Corolla eastbound.

Susaia suffered serious injuries and was taken to Bethesda North Hospital, then to University Hospital via AirCare.

Hack was not injured.
