CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -  A Lockland mother is facing charges after police say she left her 5-year-old son home alone while the oven was open and on 500 degrees.

Kaorajia Williams, 20, is charged with one count of child endangering.

Police say they responded to a 911 hang up call on North Wayne Avenue on Monday afternoon. Upon arrival, they found a 5-year-old boy crying and saying he was scared and didn't know where his mother was.

Officers discovered the oven in the residence was on 500 degrees with the door open. They located a cell phone number that connected to Williams, who responded to the home after being at the store.

Williams told police she had only been gone five minutes, but officers had already been on scene for 15 or 20 minutes by the time she arrived.
