CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - A teenager accused of hitting and killing an Evanston boy has been found competent to stand trial on additional charges.

Kellisha Whitterson, 18, is accused of hitting and killing Dayshaan Ballew, 13, in Evanston in September of 2009.

She was found competant to stand trial in September of 2010 on the original charges of vehicular homicide, leaving the scene of an accident and driving without a license. Prosecutors filed additional charges of involuntary manslaughter and aggravated vehicular homicide, so she had to be found competant to stand trial on those new charges, as well.

Whitterson was 17 years old when the accident happened, but she is being tried as an adult. She told police she got behind the wheel at the urging of her passenger, who said he was too drunk to drive.
