The postseason hardware was handed out at Friday's in Crestview Hills on Wednesday, saluting the best in high school football this year in the Northern Kentucky area.
Highlands' quarterback Patrick Towles was named our Northern Kentucky Offensive Player of the Year.
Towles, who was also recognized as the Second-Team quarterback on the TriStateFootball.com Team 2010 Postseason Team earlier this week, led the Bluebirds to a state title for a second straight year under center.
The junior led the offense in both passing and rushing. He completed 122-of-239 passes for 2,471 yards, 21 touchdowns and 11 interceptions while carrying the ball 153 times for 880 yards and 18 touchdowns. Towles set a state title game record with five rushing touchdowns in the team's win over Christian County.
Other nominations included D'Vontae Bradley (Cooper), Travis Elliott (Ryle), Chris Kelly (NewCath), Chad Lawrence (Simon Kenton), Zeke Pike (Dixie Heights) and Cameron Vocke (Beechwood).
