CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Two people have been arrested in connection with a North Avondale home invasion robbery that happened just before 9 p.m. on January 11th in the 500 block of Clinton Springs Avenue.
The Cincinnati Police identified the suspects involved and arrested Rashad Muhummed and Ronae Gardner on Friday. Both suspects have been charged with aggravated robbery.
The victim of the home invasion, Andrew Phillips, was chasing another man suspected to be Rashad Muhummed, both men had guns. They ran around a building and began to run down Clinton Springs Avenue when they came across police dealing with a traffic stop on Springhouse Road.
Cincinnati Police says that is where Officer Thomas Jones fired shots at the armed men. Phillips, the victim, was arrested on weapons under disability and aggravating menacing charges.
Communication reports reveal that at the time, Phillips told police he knew one of the suspects who entered his home, pointed a gun at him and robbed him. Phillips was arrested because he had priors for weapons.
