Son charged with killing parents found in basement

MOUNT EATON, Ohio (AP) - An Ohio man has been charged with killing his parents, whose bodies were found in the blood-splattered basement of their farmhouse.

The sheriff's office in northeast Ohio's Wayne County on Friday filed two counts of aggravated murder and one count of aggravated burglary against 31-year-old Rodney R. Stutzman. He was arrested without incident late Thursday in West Virginia.

Sheriff Thomas Maurer says in a news release that a preliminary investigation indicates parents Mervin and Viola Stutzman were shot with a shotgun.

Officers discovered the bodies on Thursday after another son, living in Indiana, reported he had not heard from his mother and father for days.

Court records do not list an attorney for Rodney Stutzman.
