Vacant building fire sends one firefighter to hospital

LAWRENCEBURG, IN - Crews have responded to a building fire that started before 1 a.m. Monday morning.

The fire broke out in a vacant building along U.S. 50 that had previously been a carpet store.

The roof collapsed, so firefighters haven't been able to get inside.

A firefighter had to be taken to the hospital after slipping on ice at the scene. His condition has not been released.

There's no word on how much damage has been done to the building.
