LAWRENCEBURG, IN (FOX19) - Visitation and funeral arrangements have been announced for a Tri-State soldier who died last week in Afghanistan.
Pfc. Zachary Salmon, 21, grew up in the Harrison area and moved to Tennessee as a teenager. He still has several family members in the Tri-State.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Jan. 20 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Lawrenceburg High School in Lawrenceburg, Ind.
Funeral services will be held at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church on Friday, Jan. 21 at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Aurora, Ind.
Salmon was a member of Troop A, 1st Squadron, 32 Calvary, 1BCT in Fort Campbell, Ky.
In addition, a candlelight vigil is also being held Tuesday night at the home of Salmon's mother at 2549 Dacey Court in Hebron. The vigil begins at 7 p.m.
