Teen involved in alpaca beating gets 8 months in jail

HAMILTON, OH (FOX19) - A teen who beat a baby alpaca to death in February was sentenced Thursday morning.

Marcus Miller, 18, was given three months in jail for an animal cruelty charge and eight months in jail for breaking an entering. He could have faced up to nine years.

Miller also faces five years of probation and up to six months of community service.

Another teen involved in the beating, Nicolas Reynolds, was sentenced to 20 months in prison.

A woman involved in the case, Stacie Mullins, is scheduled to be sentenced on Monday on complicity charges for driving Miller and Reynolds to the farm in Madison Township.
