FAIRFIELD TWP., OH (FOX19) - An accident in Fairfield Township just before 1 p.m. on Friday sent four people to the hospital, one of those was flown by AirCare to University Hospital.
A black Saturn four-door sedan, southbound on By-Pass 4 was turning left onto Princeton Road and was struck in the passenger side by a white Chevrolet TrailBlazer that was traveling northbound on By-Pass 4.
The female passenger in the Saturn, 31-year-old Stephanie A. Bland, was taken by University Air Care to University Hospital in Cincinnati. She is currently listed in critical but stable condition at University Hospital after undergoing surgery on Friday night.
The driver of the Saturn, 31-year-old Joseph A. Bland, and a passenger in the TrailBlazer, 57-year-old Kathryn J. Korty, were both transported to Atrium with non life-threatening injuries.
Kayleigh Cook, a three-day-old passenger from the TrailBlazer, was transported to Cincinnati Children's Hospital – Liberty Campus, also with non life-threatening injuries. She was accompanied by her mother, 26-year-old Kathryn L. Cook, who was the driver of the TrailBlazer and who was uninjured.
No charges have been filed at this time and the crash remains under investigation. Names are not being released at this point pending notifications and/or further investigation.
