First annual "Salsathon" benefits homeless children's education

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Salsaires Latin Dance Company will host the 1st annual "Cincinnati Salsathon for a Cause" on Saturday at the Cincinnati Ballet, with all proceeds benefiting Faces without Places.

Faces without Places is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization serving 3000 children in Greater Cincinnati who experience homelessness. It allows children to stay connected to their education by providing supplies, transportation, and shelter tutoring programs.

The Salsathon will feature special performances by members of the Salsaires Latin Dance Company, plus 3 continuous hours of Latin dancing by participants in the Salsathon.

Dance participants must be at least 18 years of age.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, with free beginner Latin dance lessons from until 7:45 p.m. The Salsathon begins at 8 p.m.

Audience tickets are $10, and tickets for Salsathon participants are $15 with pre-registration and $20 at the door.
