Water pipes burst in retirement community, residents had to be evacuated

ANDERSON TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) – Dozens of residents had to be evacuated after a pipe burst at the New England Club retirement community in Anderson this morning.

Investigators are saying the cold weather is most likely the cause for the large pipes to burst, which caused water to spill everywhere. The water damage was in the west wing of the building which is the assisted living section.

It took nearly an hour to control the leak. The residents have been displaced to other units at the New England Club until the damage is fixed.
