Man charged with murder in case of missing wife

RICHMOND, Ky. (AP) - A central Kentucky man has been charged with murdering his wife, who went missing about a week ago.

WKYT-TV in Lexington reports that Kentucky State Police charged 35-year-old Jason Edward Singleton in the death of 25-year-old Angela Frazer Singleton, was found dead Wednesday afternoon after being missing for several days.

The murder charge against Jason Singleton came Friday, a day after he was arrested following what Somerset police called a hostage situation at a trucking company. Police say Singleton took four people hostage at gunpoint for about 15 minutes.

Police say Acting Chief Doug Nelson persuaded Singleton to give himself up. Singleton faces charges in Pulaski County related to the hostage situation and murder charges in Madison County.
