MADEIRA, OH (FOX19) -- The city of Madeira may become a little darker if a new legislation passes.
The Madeira Planning Commission is thinking about proposing something called a Dark Sky Legislation.
That legislation would put in place laws to reduce the amount of outdoor lighting directed towards the sky.
Those in favor of the legislation say it would save energy and money and allow residents to see the stars more clearly at night.
So far, no one had directly opposed the idea.
