OXFORD, OH (FOX19) - Several diplomas for December graduates of Miami University are being reprinted due to a typo.
According to The Miami Student, the student newspaper for Miami University, all 567 diplomas were misprinted with the word 'thousnad' instead of 'thousand.' However, due to the mailing system, only about 120 of the misprinted diplomas were actually sent to graduates, and are in the process of being replaced.
Graduates were told to return their diploma upon arrival, and they will be given a new one.
David Sauter, university registrar, told The Miami Student that a parent discovered the misprint. Sauter said the mistake wasn't spotted until it was too late.
