Truck crashes closes 52/275 extension

CINCINNATI (FOX19) - Traffic trying to get onto 275 from Anderson Township and California on the U.S. 52 connector was blocked Tuesday afternoon by a gravel truck that flipped and dumped its load.

The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office says a truck owned by All Right Ready Mix of Florence was westbound on the connector when the driver last control and flipped, spilling a load of gravel across the roadway.

The road was closed and expected to remain that way until later Tuesday afternoon, with workers from the company cleaning up the gravel and righting and towing away the truck.

The driver, Gary S. Vanover, age 58, of Cold Springs, Kentucky, had just gotten a load of gravel at Hilltop Resources, 6700 block Kellogg Avenue, Anderson Township, and was headed to Kentucky when he crashed the crash occurred.  Mr. Vanover was wearing a seat belt.  He suffered a minor injury and is being treated at University Hospital.

The Sheriff's Office says he will be cited for Failure to Maintain Reasonable Control.
