COVINGTON, KY (FOX19) - The woman who woke up last week to her nine-month-old daughter next to a baseboard heater and badly burned, is being held at the Kenton County Jail on $25,000 bond.
Police were called to the St. Elizabeth Covington Emergency Room around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 18. Officials say 26-year-old Megin Gray's infant daughter suffered from severe burns from head to toe on the left side of her body.
She admitted that she was high and drunk, and that is why she did not notice her daughter so close to the heater.
Wednesday, Gray appeared at the Kenton County Courthouse, where a judge set a $25,000 bond. Gray is charged with 2nd Degree Criminal Abuse.
