Armed bank robber arrested in Franklin

FRANKLIN, OH (FOX19) - An arrest has been made in the armed robbery of the Unions Savings Bank in Franklin, OH that happened on January 15th.

Jonathan Dershem, 35, was arrested in the 800 block of South Main Street after officers located the suspect's vehicle. Officers made contact with the owner of the vehicle along with her son, Jonathan. His physical description matched that of the suspect in the Union Savings Bank robbery.

Mr. Dershem voluntarily went to the Police Department for an interview.

A search warrant was obtained for Dershem's mother's apartment. Evidence was found during the search that was worn by Dershem during the armed robbery.

Dershem was arrested and charged with the armed robbery. He is being held in the Warren County Jail on a bond of $100,000. He will be video arraigned in the Franklin Municipal Court on Friday January 28th, at noon.
