Police chase a suspect with a gun, ends in crash

OVER-THE-RHINE (FOX19) - A police chase was initiated Sunday afternoon after Police Chief Tom Streicher heard shots being fired near Findlay Market while he was shopping for ingredients to make bean soup.

The incident began around noon at Green and Race Streets. The suspect began driving after realizing police were getting involved. The chase ended at Gilbert Avenue and Curtis Street after the suspect crashed into a parked truck.

"The suspect got into this Black Charger and fled the scene with someone else driving. The chief followed," said Sgt Scott Albert.

Cincinnati Police have two men in custody and they are being questioned by investigators.

There have been no injuries reported. This case is still under investigation.
