CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) – A man charged with involuntary manslaughter and failing to provide for a functionally impaired person, by allowing his mother's body to be covered with maggots, flies and bed sores, has been indicted.

Jorene White, 60, was found dead in her Maddisonville home in July. The Hamilton County Coroner confirmed that she died from sepsis and ruled the death a homicide as a result of medical neglect.

If convicted of all charges, Jorene's son, Brian White, 33, faces the possibility of 11 and a half years in prison. Brian was not charged in July as his father, Darrel White, originally took full responsibility for Jorene's death. The police continued their investigation resulting in Tuesday's charges.

Darrel White, Jorene's husband, admitted to neglecting his dying wife and allowing her body to be eaten by maggots. Darrel pleaded guilty in November for failure to provide for a functionally impaired person and reckless homicide. Darrel avoided jail time as the judge sentenced him to five years of probation and counseling at a Veteran's Administration facility.

Brian was arrested on January 25th.
