CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - The power outage that left over 20,000 homes in the tri-state area in the dark Tuesday night, may be the cause of a house fire Wednesday morning.
The fire started just after 10 a.m. Wednesday in the 3500 block of McHenry in Cincinnati. The fire was contained in a bedroom on the upper floor. Preliminary estimates show there may be $25,000 damage.
The fire department tells Fox19 that no one was home at the time of the fire. They also said that when the family left the home, the electricity was not on. They believe the fire started when the power was restored.
