ANDERSON TWP., OH (FOX19) - Three people are in the hospital, after a fiery crash on I-275 near Beechmont Avenue.
The highway had to be shut down for hours, but Artimis is reporting that one lane is open on Thursday morning.
The accident happened just before 6 p.m. Wednesday when a semi-truck and a mini-van collided at the Five Mile Road exit.
The impact pushed the mini-van over the edge of the interstate and sent it crashing below. One of the vehicles also caught fire after the accident. Reports state that two people had to be pulled from a vehicle and were taken to the hospital. A third also had to be transported. There is no word on their injuries or conditions.
Union Township and Anderson Township firefighters were called to the scene to help with the fire. A crew from the Ohio Department of Transportation was called because the bridge that goes over Five Mile may have been damaged.
