READING, OH (FOX19) - Mount Notre Dame High School is hosting an event on Saturday that will benefit people living thousands of miles away.
The "Voices for a Village" concert will raise money for a village in Afghanistan that was devastated by flooding in 2010. The flood displaced more than 400,000 people, killing more than 400 and wiping out the livestock and crops that so many depended on for income.
This concert will raise money and spread awareness of the plight of the Afghan people.
Mr. Todd Forman of Anderson Township and his committee have assembled a talented group of local and regional recording artists, as well as talented members of the Mount Notre Dame community to put on an amazing concert.
Many other performances will also be featured at this event.
Tickets are $5.00 and can be purchased at the door or in advance by contacting Mr. Todd Forman at firstname.lastname@example.org.
