Cincinnatian Rich Franlkin lost a unanimous decision to Forrest Griffin at UFC 126 in Las Vegas. Griffin won the bout 29-28 on all three judges scorecards.
Griffin got off to a quick start, taking down Franklin inside the first 30 seconds and kept him on his back the entire round.
Griffin also took the former middleweight champion down in the second round, and twice in the third.
Franklin last fought in June, when he knocked out Chuck Liddell. Franklin broke his arm in that bout and spent a couple of months in a cast.
