World Choir Games gets first presenting sponsor

CINCINNATI, FOX19 (OH) – The Cincinnati Organizing Committee for the 2012 World Choir Games has announced the Procter & Gamble Company as the first Official Presenting Sponsor for this event.

This is the highest level of sponsorship available to any participating company. The World Choir Games are set to take place in Cincinnati USA from July 4-14, 2012.

"We could not be more excited to announce P&G as the first Presenting Sponsor," said Dan Lincoln, president & CEO of the Cincinnati USA Convention & Visitors Bureau and director of World Choir Games 2012, Inc. "This confirms P&G's recognition of how important the 2012 World Choir Games are for Cincinnati and the entire region."

"This will be an historic event for Cincinnati because of the multi-cultural and global nature of the Games." said Werner Geissler, P&G's vice chairman of Global Operations, who with his wife, Sabine, are serving as Global Co-Chairs for the event. "P&G is thrilled to take the lead in supporting the 2012 Games."

"We know we have a big global even on our hand, and Proctor and Gamble is a big global company. This is right in line with their support of the Olympic games," said event organizer Michael Perry.

With the announcement of P&G as the first Presenting Sponsor, the Cincinnati Organizing Committee for the 2012 World Choir Games will now seek additional sponsors at various levels of support. Official Presenting Sponsors invest between $1 million and $1.5 million in cash or in kind value to receive that designation.
