CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - The Cincinnati Museum Center will be filled with the sounds of bluegrass music this weekend as they celebrate Appalachian culture. The free event will feature music from the Cincinnati Dulcimer Society, storytelling, and authentic dance performances.
There will also be a marketplace filled with authentic Appalachian goods, and family-friendly activities all day in the Rotunda and Newsreel Theater.
The Museum Center will also offer living history events like making jelly from scratch, bee keeping, making brooms and walking sticks, and engraving bowls and wooden utensils in order to show what life was like in Appalachia and on the Appalachian Trail.
The Appalachian Culture Fest is on Saturday, February 12 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, February 13 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
