CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -- Cincinnati Public School nurses and administrators were at City Hall rallying and protesting proposed cuts to some of their jobs.
Monday afternoon the nurses and administrators gathered for their Rally for Kids. Because of the city's $60 million deficit, City Manager Milton Dehoney has proposed that the health department cut 16% of their budget. That translates into 35 nurses losing their jobs.
CPS nurses argue that the public health nurse nay be a student's access to health care. They also argue that nurses helped prevent a pandemic last year by administering so many H1N1 shots.
The budget deadline is June 30.
