Teens accused of burning fellow student's hair in court

MIDDLETOWN, OH (FOX19) - The three teenagers accused of setting the hair of a fellow student on fire were in court on Thursday.

The three teens, ages 15, 16, and 17, were ordered to stay in juvenile detention until their next hearing March 1. The three teens face charges including aggravating menacing, assault and obstructing official business.

According to school officials, the three teens burned about a quarter of an inch of the other student's hair on a school bus.

The court day falls on the same day as Middletown High School starts an anti-bullying public service campaign. The public service campaign was started as a response to the hair burning incident.
