UC athletes team with non-profit to send pediatric cancer patients to summer camp

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Together with the University of Cincinnati football team, the non-profit foundation Mitch's Mission will host its first fundraiser tonight, "Playdate with the Bearcats."

The event, which will take place from 4-7 p.m. at the UC Campus Rec Center, benefits pediatric canter and blood disease patients at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. All proceeds with send children from the Cancer and Blood Diseases Institute to summer camp at Camp Joy in Clarksville, OH.

The carnival-inspired fundraiser is a family-friendly event with UC Bearcat football players, the Bearcat Mascot, and other UC athletes on hand to play games and interact with fans. The night will also feature games, kid-friendly drills, swimming, rock climbing, face painting, food, and music.

Tickets are $15 per person or $50 per family, and may be purchased online or at the door.
