CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -- Miss Ohio Becky Minger was at a local IHOP restaurant Wednesday morning to flip pancakes for a good cause.
For National Pancake Day on March 1, IHOP restaurants offer their guests a free short stack to raise awareness and money for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. Miss Ohio Beck Minger was at the IHOP location on Marburg Avenue serving customers Wednesday morning.
Minger also got a chance to meet with one of the Miracle Children who is currently being treated at Cincinnati Children's Hospital. 10-year-old Peyton Stephens and the 2010 Miss Ohio got a chance to make and decorate pancakes and read a story together.
For every short stack of pancakes served on National Pancake Day, IHOP guests are asked to make a donation to the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. IHOP's goal is to raise $2.3 million nationwide. That would make the total more than $7.65 million in six years.
Last year, IHOP served four million free pancakes on National Pancake Day.
