BATAVIA TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) – A local man has been indicted on several theft charges in Clermont County.
27-year-old Clyde Warren has been indicted by a Clermont County Grand Jury on one count of Breaking and Entering, one count of Grand Theft, four counts of felony Theft and three counts of misdemeanor Theft.
Officials say throughout January and into the first week of February, there were a number of residents reporting that there were thefts from their vehicles and garages.
The reports came from Batavia Township on Greenbriar Road, State Route 222, and Greenbriar Mobile Home Park. In Williamsburg Township, reports came from Alexander Lane, Cain Run Road, and the Village of Williamsburg.
Officials believe that Warren took electronics like GPS units, cell phones, power tools, hand tools and firearms from nine citizens. The total value of the stolen property is valued at $7,000.00.
Officials say that only one firearm has been recovered. It is believed that all of the other property has been sold. Investigators are looking into reports from other townships to see if there are any more victims.
Clyde Warren is currently being held at the Clermont County Jail.
