Teen accused of punching police dog

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - An East Price Hill teenager is behind bars after police say he was in possession of a stolen car, then assaulted a police dog when he was caught.

Darren Lally, 19, is facing several charges, including receiving stolen property, assault on a police dog or horse, resisting arrest and OVI.

According to court documents, Lally driving a stolen silver Toyota Camry and struck a parked car. When police tried to pull him over, he fled from the vehicle and fought with the police officer and punched the K-9 unit on the scene.

Lally was arraigned Thursday morning, and had his bond set at $32,600.
