FRANKLIN, OH (FOX19) - A Middletown woman is in hot water after police say she stole money from the Franklin Band Boosters.

In May of 2010, Franklin police were contacted by the current treasurer of the boosters, who said that she was unable to account where some of the money had gone.

She tried to contact the former treasurer, Dana Karrick, about the money, but was never able to get a hold of her.

Further investigation revealed that $7,905 was supposed to go to the Hocking Hills Band Camp, but they never received the money. In addition, $3,000 in cash was given to Karrick's husband.

Police arrested Karrick on Wednesday and charged her with one count of theft without consent.
