Cincinnati IRS office hosts Saturday Open Houses to give free tax assistance

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - The IRS will host two Saturday Open Houses in Cincinnati to provide free assistance to taxpayers during the income tax filing season.

The IRS office located at 550 Main St. in Cincinnati will be open on Saturday, February 26 and Saturday, March 26 from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. to help with account questions, such as collection or examination issues.

"We know some people are facing challenging economic times and we want to provide extra assistance on these Saturdays," says Jennifer Jenkins, IRS representative for Ohio. "Our goal is to help them get what they need from the IRS."

Taxpayers seeking tax preparation and filing assistance need to bring a valid, government-issued photo identification and all tax-related documents.

Normal hours for both Cincinnati Taxpayer Assistance Centers are Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
