CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - The fifth annual Ringling Brothers blood drive is back in the Tri-State, and is out to prove that clowning around can sometimes be a good thing.
Clown Brad from the Ringling Brothers Circus entertained donors on Saturday at Hoxworth's Ft. Mitchell, KY location. The first 250 to donate a pint of blood will receive a red clown nose and one free ticket to any performance of Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey's "FUNundrum" when it comes to U.S. Bank Arena March 11-20.
The Ft. Mitchell location alone had 80 reservations. Walk-ins are being taken on a first-come-first-serve basis.
The drive began at 9 a.m. this morning and runs until 4 p.m. If you would like to give blood you can go to any one of Hoxworth's three neighborhood centers or the Crescent Springs Presbyterian Church.
Hoxworth expects to have a continued demand for all blood types, especially Type O and Type B.
