PENDLETON COUNTY, KY (FOX19) - A Dry Ridge man is in the Boone County Detention Center after police say he shot a woman in a Pendleton County home near Williamstown.
Kentucky State Police received a complaint of a fight taking place at 199 Kells Road in Pendleton County on Sunday at 12:37 a.m. When troopers arrived at the home, they found 30-year-old Sharli Bowman with a non-life-threatening gun shot wound. She was transported to Grant County St. Elizabeth by ambulance, and then was transferred to the University of Cincinnati Hospital by helicopter.
After an investigation, officers took 34-year-old Joseph Goree of Dry Ridge into custody. He is being charged with Assault in the 1st Degree, two counts of Wanton Endangerment in the 1st Degree, Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and Assault in the 4th Degree for Domestic Violence.
This incident remains under investigation.
