Planned Parenthood of Southwest Ohio protests passage of Pence Amendment
HAMILTON, OH (FOX19) - Supporters and advocates of Planned Parenthood of Southwest Ohio (PPSWO) hosted a protest at the Planned Parenthood center in Hamilton, in response to the passage of the Pence Amendment.
The Pence Amendment, part of the House Appropriations Continuing Resolution, bans all Planned Parenthoods from receiving federal funds.
PPSWO says they provide preventive health care to over 18,000 women a year, including breast and cervical cancer screenings, annual exams, birth control, and HIV testing.
The group protested from noon until 2 p.m. on Sunday.
