NORTHSIDE, OH (FOX19) - Investigators say a work lamp that got knocked over is the cause of a fire in Northside that sent four children to the hospital.
The fire occurred Monday morning around 3:45 a.m. on Witler Street.
Two of the children were hospitalized for burns and two were hospitalized for smoke inhalation. All four are expected to be okay.
One of the children was rescued from the home by a neighbor.
"It's just something you do," said the neighbor, Ryan Phillips. "If you see it happen to your kids, you would do the same thing."
Phillips said he came from across the street and learned one of the children was still inside the home.
"And then he (the father) said the baby was stuck, so I got a blanket and ran in," said Phillips. "He was sitting in the middle of the floor, so I just reached in, snatched him and drug him out."
An adult was also rescued from the second floor by firefighters.
The fire was contained to the second floor. It's still undetermined if there were working smoke detectors.
