WILLIAMSTOWN, KY (FOX19) - The U.S. 25 bridge in Williamstown will close to traffic on March 1.
A new bridge is expected to be open to traffic by Labor Day weekend, September 5, 2011.
A detour has been posted utilizing KY 36, I-75, and Barnes Road to direct traffic around the suggested detour routes. All accesses to businesses and residences will remain open throughout the closure, including access to Webb Park.
This area will continue to be an active construction zone. Kentucky Transportation officials urge motorists to stay alert and watch for flagmen as trucks and equipment continue entering and leaving this area.
Because of the construction work in close proximity to the traffic, the speed limit will remain at 25 MPH.
