MADISONVILLE, OH (FOX19) - A Madisonville mother, who police say gave her three young children marijuana in October of 2010, appeared in court Tuesday morning for her sentencing.
Valerie Cecil, 25, was facing four and a half years in prison, however, she received a $500 fine plus court costs and four years probation. She was also ordered to continue rehab.
Cecil was arrested in October, accused of giving pot to her three children; ages 7, 4 and 1.
The seven-year-old child told her school counselor that she was forced to smoke marijuana. All three children tested positive for the drug.
Cecil pleaded guilty in January to endangering others with drugs and two counts of child endangering.
