INDIANAPOLIS, IN (FOX19) - For the next few weeks, Indiana State Police troopers are working overtime to crackdown on impaired and aggressive drivers.
"Over the next few weeks, law enforcement will dedicate hundreds of hours of over time to making Hoosier roadways safer," said Dr. T. Neil More, Executive Director of Indiana Criminal Justice Institute. "We fully support their efforts, and applaud their commitment to traffic safety in the state of Indiana."
Officials say of the 751 fatalities that occurred on Indiana roadways in 2010, more than 20 percent occurred in traffic crashes that involved an impaired driver.
