CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Recycled Doggies, the Norwood animal shelter damaged by fire earlier this week, hosted a "Stuff the Red Dog Bus" fundraiser for local animals in need.
The fundraiser asked people to bring in their unopened, unexpired pet food or kitty litter for the Cincinnati Pet Food Pantry. Recycled Doggies originally expected to fill only one van with donated food, but they instead filled three.
15 animals from Recycled Doggies were also adopted in the event. The shelter that housed those animals was recently damaged in a fire that killed 11 other dogs.
One dog, Xena, also went missing after the fire, but has since been found. Xena was at the fundraiser.
