CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - The Poetic Vision Tour is stopping in Cincinnati for a concert and display of local art Sunday March 6, 2011 from 3:00-5:00 p.m.
It will take place at the Cincinnati Cultural Arts Center at 3711 Clifton Ave.
Co-organizer Sadia Khatri from the Institute of Youth Development and Excellence says, "PVT is a fun and beautiful way to bring all kinds of people together using the universal language of music. This show includes the legendary artist Dawud Wharnsby Ali, who has impacted the lives of thousands of people in the last 20 years."
The show is being hosted by the Cincinnati Cultural Arts Center and is co-sponsored by the Islamic Association of Cincinnati, the Institute of Youth Development, and the Muslim Student Association at the University of Cincinnati.
- About the Show- The Art of Poetics is the Poetic Vision Tour's popular intimate format that allows the audience to follow along with performances with lyric books and engage in dynamic lyrical discussions and analysis.
- The Music- PVT artists perform original work, inspired by the richest elements of the Islamic tradition, as well as positive and poetically rich cover songs from artists such as: Coldplay (Viva la Vida), Jason Mraz (I'm Yours), Cat Stevens (Father and Son), Bob Marley (Redemption Song), the Beatles (Here Comes the Sun) and Bob Dylan (Knocking on Heaven's Door).
A Cincinnati Poetic Vision Tour cake will be displayed at the end of the show.
