CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) --The Xavier Musketeers are headed north to Cleveland for the first round of the NCAA tournament. The A-10 regular season champs are a 6 seed and will see Marquette in a first round game on Friday, tipoff is 7:27pm.
The Golden Eagles beat the Musketeers 71-61 last season in the Old Spice Classic in Florida.
Xavier and Michigan State are the only schools to reach the round of 16 in each of the last three tournaments.
If they win their opener, the Musketeers could face another Big East team in the next round. They'd play the winner of the Syracuse and Indiana State game.
