Man arrested after police chase turns into hospital lockdown

WEST CHESTER, OH (FOX19) - A man is now in the Butler County jail after he led police on a chase early Sunday morning and caused a lockdown of West Chester Medical Center.

The chase began on Northbound I-75 when a police officer tried to pull over a car driven by Kelley Barnes, 20. The chase ended at the West Chester Medical Center. Barnes wrecked the car into a stop sign on Dudley Road just off Tylersville and ran into the hospital.

Barnes was arrested a short time later on the second floor of the hospital. The hospital was locked down for a short time.

Barnes has been charged with failure to comply with order or signal of police officer, receiving stolen property, obstructing official business, criminal trespass, OVI, and sale of liquor to underage person.

Barnes is currently in the Butler County Jail.
