WHITEWATER TWP., OH (FOX19) - Just before 2 p.m. on Wednesday, a woman was thrown from her vehicle in a car accident in the 4500 block of Kilby Road.
It was a single vehicle crash and only Tracy Valentino, 41, of Cleves, Ohio was in the car. Valentino was taken by AirCare to University hospital with serious, but non life-threatening injuries.
According to the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office, Valentino was headed northbound on Kilby Road when she traveled off the right side of the road hitting a raised curb. She overcorrected and drove to the left across a double yellow line, off the left side of the road, down a slight embankment and through a metal security fence. The vehicle stopped nearly 300 feet beyond the fence in an open field.
The Whitewater Township Fire Department took Valentino to Good Samaritan West and was then taken by AirCare to University Hospital.
Alcohol/drugs are not believed to be a factor in the crash. Ms. Valentino was not wearing her seat belt.
The crash remains under investigation by the Sheriff's Office, Traffic Safety Unit, and no charges have been filed at this time.
