COLUMBIA-TUSCULUM, OH (FOX19) - After operating from a different school for a week, students and faculty of Riverview East Academy will move back to their school on Friday.
Student and faculty were forced to move to the former Burton School on March 11 because of high flood waters from the Ohio River.
Riverview is elevated about 19 feet by concrete pillars and was not damaged in the flood. Water covered 3 feet of water and the campus had to be cleaned before students could come back.
This was the first time since 2006 that the school had to relocate because of river conditions.
