Hamilton Police say arrests make major blow to local drug trade

HAMILTON, OH (FOX19) - The Hamilton Police Department announced an arrest on Thursday that they say cut off a major supply source of drugs into Butler County.

Hamilton Police in cooperation with the Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives arrested four people and seized over 700 grams of crack cocaine and 2 kilograms of powdered cocaine, along with a glock and $139,000 of US currency.

Three of the four people arrested were detained by ICE for being in the United States illegally.

The four men were each indicted by a federal grand jury and charged with one count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute cocaine and crack cocaine. They face at least ten years in prison.

The four people arrested were:

  • Frank Howard III
  • Phillipe Hidalgo-Hernandez
  • Victorio Castanada-Montoya
  • David Lopez-Moreno

Hamilton Police say the investigation is still on-going.
