FRANKLIN COUNTY, IN (FOX19) - After a search of a home in Brookville, Indiana, police have arrested a man for having what they call an elaborate marijuana growing operation.
Officers from Brookville Police Department and Franklin County Sheriff's Office were armed with a search warrant when they entered the home in the 300 block of East 11th Street in Brookville. They found an attached garage with five self-contained growing rooms equipped with lights, irrigation and equipment to enhance the growing of marijuana.
Melvin A. Scott, 52, of Brookville was arrested and is facing preliminary charges of dealing marijuana and maintaining a common nuisance, which are both Class D felonies. More charges could be filed against Scott once the investigation is complete.
