Man accused of stealing van with 4-year-old waives extradition

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - A man accused of stealing a mini van with a 4-year-old boy in the back seat was in court Monday morning.

Kevin Gosney, 38, is facing abduction and endangering children charges. He waived extradition to Kentucky and had his bond set at $100,000.

Police say Gosney, along with Dawn Dixon, 25, stole a van from the Shell gas station on 4th and Johnson Street in Covington on Friday, March 18. A 4-year-old boy, Jackson Day, was in the back seat of the van.

Police found Gosney and Dixon in Downtown Cincinnati shortly after the van and the child were found behind the main firehouse at the corner of 4th and Central. They were taken into custody.

Gosney was also in court Saturday morning for an unrelated charge of driving without a license. He pled guilty to that charge.
